Pineapple Juice - Bright, Refreshing, and Naturally Sweet

Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pineapple (about 2.5–3 pounds), peeled and cored
  • 1/2 to 1 cup cold water (adjust for desired consistency)
  • 1–2 teaspoons fresh lime or lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or simple syrup (optional, if your pineapple isn’t very sweet)
  • Pinch of fine salt (enhances flavor)
  • Small knob of fresh ginger (optional, for a gentle kick)
  • Ice (for serving)

Method

  1. Prep the pineapple: Slice off the top and bottom. Stand it upright and cut away the skin, following the curve. Remove any “eyes.” Cut the fruit from the core, then chop into chunks.
  2. Blend until smooth: Add pineapple to a blender with 1/2 cup cold water. Blend on high until very smooth, about 30–60 seconds. Add more water if needed for a pourable texture.
  3. Season lightly: Add a pinch of salt. Taste. If it needs brightness, squeeze in lime or lemon. If it’s not sweet enough, blend in a touch of honey.
  4. Optional ginger twist: Add a small slice of peeled fresh ginger and blend again. Start small; a little goes a long way.
  5. Strain (if you prefer it smooth): Pour the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a pitcher, pressing to extract the liquid. Skip this step if you like a pulpy texture.
  6. Chill and serve: Pour over ice and enjoy right away. Garnish with a lime wheel or pineapple wedge if you like.
